Carmen Parra has been awarded various honors throughout her career, including: The Vasco de Quiroga prize for Woman of the Year in 2011, awarded on International Women’s Day. In 2005, she receives the XXVI Premio Nacional de Artes Gráficas, granted by the Unión de Industriales Litográficos de México for the calendar El color de México, published by Sánchez Editores.
In 2000, she receives the Miguel Othón de Mendizábal award, granted by the Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (INAH). In 1981, she receives the acquisition prize granted by the Salón Nacional de Artes Plásticas for her painting La Ascensión de la catedral. She also received the first prize granted by the Unión de Industriales Litográficos de México for the print Virgen de Guadalupe, made in Enrique Cattaneo’s workshop. In 1993, Carmen Parra receives a grant from the Fundación Americana Arcadia.
